He Guoqiang won the 2021 Haining Snooker Open this week, an event staged by the Chinese Billiards and Snooker Association.
The tournament was contested by 64 players, including former pros Mei Xiwen and Luo Honghao, who both reached the quarter-finals.
In the final, He beat Huang Jiahao 5-0 to win a national event for the first time and earn a prize of 50,000 RMB.
He played in three ranking events as a wild card in 2018, notably beating Gary Wilson 6-1 in the International Championship.
