Show the source. Explain the method. Fix the error.
The working standard behind Snooker Site news, live links, advice, calculators, buying guides and commercial relationships.
Purpose
Snooker Site is an independent sports resource. Its job is to make reliable snooker information easier to reach, explain practical decisions clearly, and build useful tools. It is not an official tour, governing body, broadcaster, coaching authority or retailer.
Source hierarchy
- Primary sources: governing bodies, rulebooks, event organisers, manufacturers and service providers for their own specifications and terms.
- Specialist sources: established snooker publishers and statistical services for context, schedules and reporting.
- Original explanation: plain-language synthesis, tools and general practice ideas that do not reproduce protected material.
A source supports the specific fact attributed to it; it does not automatically endorse Snooker Site’s analysis or every conclusion on the page. The current research register appears on the sources page.
Live information and streaming
Match times, scores and broadcast rights can change quickly. The live hub gives priority to official WST destinations and clearly labels independent specialist services. Snooker Site does not copy a proprietary score feed, rebroadcast footage, recommend access workarounds or list unauthorised streams.
News feed
The news wire retrieves public feed items from named publishers. It displays the headline, publisher, publication time and destination link, then directs readers to the original article. It does not republish article bodies or present automated headlines as Snooker Site reporting.
A feed source may be unavailable, delayed or changed by its publisher. The interface identifies fallback use and partial source outages where detected. Inclusion does not mean endorsement of every view expressed by a publisher.
Advice, rules and calculators
General technique and practice content is educational, not personalised coaching, medical or safety advice. Rules guides are simplified and defer to the current official rules and appointed referee. Calculators disclose their inputs and assumptions, label approximate dimensions, and tell readers what must be confirmed with a seller, installer or qualified professional.
Equipment and commercial content
- No claim of hands-on testing is made unless that testing actually occurred and the method is described.
- No product is declared “best” without a defined comparison, evidence and meaningful alternatives.
- Affiliate or sponsored relationships are disclosed near the commercial content.
- Payment cannot purchase an undisclosed ranking, review or editorial conclusion.
- Prices, stock, seller terms and warranties are left with the retailer and should be verified there.
Use of software and AI assistance
Software tools, including AI assistance, may support research organisation, drafting, code and quality checks. They are not treated as factual sources. Claims must be checked against appropriate sources, and generated text must meet the same accuracy, copyright, disclosure and correction standards as any other work.
Dates, reviews and corrections
Time-sensitive pages state a review or link-check date. A date means the page was checked at that time; it is not a promise that an external service has not changed since. Material errors are corrected in the page and its review date is updated.
To report a factual error, send the page URL, the disputed statement and the strongest available source to hello@snookersite.com. Privacy and legal requests should use the routes on the contact page.
